Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you in the 4th International Exhibition on Dairy, Aqua and Pet-2018 (IEDAP-2018). It is extremely inspiring for all of us that the Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB) is organizing this exhibition from 8-10 March, 2018 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. AHCAB has been working on disseminating knowledge on and development of livestock and aqua sector since 2001.

 

Current per capita milk availability versus consumption in Bangladesh has a huge gap. In this circumstance total deficit of milk is about 82%. Improving this situation is a huge national task to take urgent initiative to improve milk production as well as restrain the powder milk import.

 

Agribusiness gaining national competitive advantages through domestic rivalry. Tackling some national disadvantages like Anthrax, soaring feed prices, access to bank loans, demand-supply mismatch, the commercial dairy and aqua is required to be more compositing in nature through practicing contemporary knowledge and technology where Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB) has been playing a leading role.

 

Aqua sector is playing very vital role in Bangladesh economy especially in terms of shrimp export. We can take advantage of this great opportunity through intensive and semi-intensive shrimp farming and utilizing our every scope of water area. AHCAB can also play a vital role to ensure safe and cost effective shrimp production.  

 

Overall in my believe this biennial IEDAP exhibition will create a platform for networking among farmers, entrepreneurs, technology provider and customers and development organizations which will provide necessary inputs for accelerated investment in dairy, aqua etc. sector.

 

Finally, I express my thanks and deepest appreciation to the university teachers, researchers, government, members of AHCAB, sponsors, visitors, journalist and other stakeholders for their utmost support of this exhibition and seminar. I am very much hopeful that 4th International Exhibition and Seminar on Dairy, Aqua and Pet-2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh will be a great success.
